(Sacramento) - Assemblymember Reginald Jones-Sawyer, Sr. (D-Los Angeles) and the Members of the Select Committee on the Status of Boys and Men are calling for the creation of a grant program with initial funds at $10 million, and continued funding of programs proven to be successful at helping young men of color succeed. “I have seen how young men thrive when we invest in their success,” said Assemblymember Jones-Sawyer, who chairs the Select Committee on the Status of Boys and Men of Color. “By asking our State to continue these kinds of investment into our boys and men of color, my colleagues and I on the Select Committee seek to make a down payment on improving our communities.” Learn more in this Assembly Access video.
