(Sacramento) – California State Assemblymember Reginald Jones-Sawyer (D-South Los Angeles) along with his Legislative colleagues held a press conference to re-launch the largest-ever Assembly Select Committee on the Status of Boys and Men of Color or BMOC. Assemblymember Jones-Sawyer is co-chair of the committee along with Assemblymember Rob Bonta (D-Oakland). Some of the goals of this new and improved committee include building on and implementing the policies and work of previous committees. This BMOC will also focus on housing, home ownership, LGBT issues and among other concerns facing BMOC.
