(Sacramento) - On the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s assassination, Assemblymember Reginald Byron Jones-Sawyer (D-South Los Angeles) honored the civil rights leader’s legacy by presenting a resolution (ACR 198) to the State Assembly. Quoting Dr. King, Assemblymember Jones-Sawyer said, “There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular.
