Assemblymember Jones-Sawyer, Sr. Stands With Our Immigrant Community
(Sacramento - March 7, 2018) - Chair of Assembly Public Safety, Assemblymember Reginald Byron Jones-Sawyer, Sr. issued the following statement on U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ announcement to sue the State of California and his visit to Sacramento:
“We here in California are at the center point of the resistance movement, and we are the center point of justice. We are not protecting criminals; we are protecting immigrants who are contributing to our communities, raising their families who have come to this country to make a new life. We want Attorney General Sessions and the Trump Administration to stop criminalizing our wonderful immigrants that help built this country.”
