SACRAMENTO, California – (June 8, 2023) – California State Assemblymember, Reggie Jones-Sawyer (D-Los Angeles), has co-authored a resolution that seeks to add a 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution and requests a constitutional convention be held to initiate debate, vote, and ratification on the proposed amendment.

SACRAMENTO, CA – Assemblymember Reggie Jones-Sawyer introduced AB 86 to establish a Statewide Homelessness Coordinator to serve as the lead entity for ending homelessness in California.
AB 86 is the first bill introduced this session to take on the statewide issue of homelessness.
The fentanyl issue requires comprehensive input from a variety of experts and stakeholders in order to establish a united approach to solving the matter.
Often there are duplicative efforts put forth, or broad scoped legislation offering temporary solutions, or providing no rational solutions at all.
