(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Jones-Sawyer (D-South Los Angeles) has introduced amendments to Assembly Bill (AB) 1510, creating the Fighting Fentanyl Bond Act of 2024.

SACRAMENTO, California – (June 8, 2023) – California State Assemblymember, Reggie Jones-Sawyer (D-Los Angeles), has co-authored a resolution that seeks to add a 28^th Amendment to the United States Constitution and requests a constitutional convention be held to initiate debate, vote, and ratification on the proposed amendment.

I have, for the better part of two years, stated that reparations is more than just a check – it is about removing institutional barriers in the form of laws that have and continue to marginalize Black communities in California.

SACRAMENTO, CA – Assemblymember Reggie Jones-Sawyer introduced AB 86 to establish a Statewide Homelessness Coordinator to serve as the lead entity for ending homelessness in California.

AB 86 is the first bill introduced this session to take on the statewide issue of homelessness.

The fentanyl issue requires comprehensive input from a variety of experts and stakeholders in order to establish a united approach to solving the matter.

Often there are duplicative efforts put forth, or broad scoped legislation offering temporary solutions, or providing no rational solutions at all.

SACRAMENTO, California – (March 15, 2023) – Assemblymember Reggie Jones-Sawyer (D-Los Angeles) has introduced AB 1610, the “weed-out-the-weed” bill that protects cannabis consumers and the legal cannabis market by enhancing testing and labeling standards.
